Wasatch Advocates for Livable Communities was founded to help make meaningful change possible. Through education, community engagement, and policy advocacy, we work to advance housing solutions that increase opportunity and strengthen neighborhoods.

We are neighbors who care deeply about the future of our communities. Across the Wasatch Region and throughout Utah, we see how housing challenges are pushing people out of the places they call home: disrupting families, straining workers, and limiting opportunity. Creating livable, inclusive neighborhoods is a shared responsibility, and abundant, affordable housing is at the heart of that vision.

Housing is too expensive in Utah, especially in the Wasatch Region, where rapid growth, rising costs, and outdated zoning rules have made it harder for people to live near jobs, schools, and family. While there’s no one-size-fits-all solution, we know that expanding housing choices and fixing local policies can create real change: opening doors for more neighbors to stay rooted and thrive.
