Wasatch Advocates for Livable Communities (WALC) is a unique community-based organization in Utah focused on zoning reform and housing policy education. Through policy research, community events, grassroots organizing, and public engagement, we're building the knowledge and coalition power necessary to make housing affordable for all Utahns.

OUR IMPACT
Last year, WALC's educational work directly supported major state housing policy wins: statewide Detached Accessory Dwelling Unit (DADUs) legalization (Senate Bill 284), creation of the state Division of Housing (House Bill 68), and $100M+ in housing infrastructure funding (House Bill 492).
We trained 100+ volunteer community evaluators, reached 7,000+ people through social media and community events, and built a coalition spanning developers, nonprofits, environmental organizations, local officials, and housing advocates.
This year, we're expanding our educational reach across all the Wasatch Region (85% of Utah's population) while preparing for an ambitious 2027 legislative session. Your partnership helps us scale this impact.

How is our support allocated?
All sponsorship funds support WALC's core mission: policy research, community events and trainings, public engagement, and grassroots organizing. Housing Champion and Impact Circle partners receive detailed annual reports showing exactly how their investment was used and what outcomes it created.
Can we align our sponsorship with a specific WALC program or policy priority?

What recognition will our organization receive?
All partners receive social media recognition, website listing, and inclusion in annual reports. Housing Champion and above receive additional visibility including newsletter spotlights, case studies, and/or video content. Impact Circle partners receive the highest level of visibility including press releases, event signage, and website features.
Is our sponsorship tax-deductible?
Yes. WALC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Sponsorships are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. We'll provide all necessary documentation.
