Salt Lake City is growing, but our outdated zoning laws are blocking the creation of affordable, walkable, and diverse housing options. Right now, restrictive lot size rules, density caps, and excessive parking mandates are making it nearly impossible to build the moderate-density housing that our neighborhoods need.

The proposed updates to the RMF-35 & RMF-45 zoning districts will remove these unnecessary barriers and allow for more duplexes, townhomes, and small apartment buildings—all while keeping our neighborhoods livable and connected.
